Kat nearly dropped her tea the first time she realized what she was holding. She’d reached into the cupboard for a mug and found herself face-to-face with a pair of sculpted breasts in clay. Ysir, of course, had insisted on bringing them home, declaring them a celebration of beauty and form, a wink of humor for mornings too serious. Soltas only smirked, perfectly at ease, while Kat has flushed every time she accidentally grabbed one for coffee.

Each Venus Cup is handmade in rural Vermont by Less is More Studios, where Michelle Silverstein and her husband traded the city’s noise for the quiet artistry of clay and countryside. Their work highlights the natural strength of stoneware—the beauty of exposed surfaces, the contrast of smooth glaze, and the simple elegance of functional forms. Born from Michelle’s background in art education and a desire to honor the female body, these mugs have become more than cups: they are symbols of motherhood, sisterhood, resilience, and daily ritual.
