There’s a quiet satisfaction in collecting something fragile and saving it from time. Kat calls it grounding. Rosie just calls it pretty. And Palus? He calls it a tax-free souvenir.
These pocket and tabletop flower presses from Macon Makes are handcrafted in Central Michigan from cherry or maple hardwoods and finished with care. Greg and Julie Macon, the husband-and-wife duo behind the brand, began with a simple wood sign in a rental home utility room. Now, their craftsmanship preserves not just flowers—but the joy of wandering.
Each design features either a hand-drawn bee or clover engraving and comes fully outfitted to press your favorite wild finds—violets tucked in boots, ferns gathered from ridges, or petals found while walking with someone you love. Perfect for adventurers, herbalists, children with pockets full of dandelions, and anyone who believes in beauty worth preserving.
Variants:
- 2” x 4” Pocket Press (Clover or Bee Design)
- Great for: hiking, kid packs, saddle bags, quick trailside presses.
- Includes: 3 cardboard inserts, 8 sheets of blotting paper, instruction card.
- 4” x 4” Square Press (No engraving)
- Great for: kitchen counter or study desk, short trips, or larger blooms.

Each press includes silver hardware and is finished with a protective oil. Due to the handmade nature of each item, expect slight natural variation—just like the flowers you’ll preserve.
